The brightest people have the ability to explain difficult concepts to those outside their profession.

Dullards use profession specific lingo to mask their idiocy. The duplicitous hide their true intention behind a veil of obfuscation.

This UT woodtick could easily be replaced by a low performing AI.

Brian: I'm pretty sure he doesn't drive a Raptor or TRX. Call it a hunch.

Brian Miller's avatar

Public transportation, with a bicycle backup, would be my guess. Maybe a Prius, but only the plug-in electric version.

Anthony Lucido's avatar

E-bike. Reflective backpack festooned with BLM and La Raza stickers. Swoopy, Tour de France style aero safety helmet with matching designer "Eff-ICE" N95 mask.

I accept the correction. This is an example of why I don't get paid to write.

...or a roll of toilet paper.

Ralph Fluchel's avatar

Wait! A roll of toilet paper can be very useful ... especially in these days of explosive diarrhea.

MLP's avatar

yes, replacing this guy with a roll of TP would be a net gain.

Joseph Kaplan's avatar

Why? Replace him I mean. He’s useless

Brian Miller's avatar

Should UT pay someone who is, by your words, useless? I think not. If he's not replaced with a bad AI, then remove his position entirely.

They don't make scholars like they used to.

Anthony Lucido's avatar

The term "scholar" is a violent and Othering relic of the patriarchagarchy, in that it implies mastery over some objectively defined area of White Supremacist study. Masters, of course, had slaves. Q.E.D. Scholars are racist oppressors promoting hegemonically disparate outcomes to wield power. Unless they are Two Spirit Queerscholars certified by the SPLC.

In the future, please use the appropriate term cis-Feeler.

mrdoug1's avatar

AHM I don't need to remind you that you're not allowed to use the words, "master" or "mastery." As you know, they're racist and would be caught up in suspended animation moderation at PLB.

Joseph Kaplan's avatar

Wow! Where did you learn to talk like that?

Max Cossack's avatar

Just check in with any Ivy League university or local community college.

By the way, is "suspended animation moderation" anything like "double secret probation"?

The racist question of the day: - is "Professor" Lopez an actual U.S. citizen?

If he isn't, it would only enhance his stature among the faculty lounge and the Left writ large.

"Northeastern Illinois University’s enrollment in its gender studies degree program has remained below 10 students for five years running, the school’s data shows."

Now do California universities.

Mr. Lawrence's avatar

In reality, they don't care. There is no feedback loop for dum-dum behavior. But maybe, just maybe - as enrollment declines and student loans are pared back we will see some changes.

mrdoug1's avatar

And they'll move on to a new grift. They're very nimble shape-shifters.

Mr. Lawrence's avatar

They move on to research fraud, infinitely more profitable with low risk. See. www.retractionwatch.com for insight into those who were caught.

Thanks for the link.

Declining or non existent enrollments don’t seem to affect Northeastern Illinois University

Mr. Lawrence's avatar

It is easy to be accepted, has low tuition, offers aggressive student loans and grant assistance, and is located in an SMSA with many more expensive schools.

mrdoug1's avatar

By the way, I believe the noxious "bodies" (as in "black and brown bodies") linguistic fad stems directly from Ta Nehisi Coates's poisonous and vitriolic 2015 book, "Between the World and Me." The intent of the use of "bodies" is to viscerally harken back to the enslavement and physical mistreatment of African Americans.

Ralph Fluchel's avatar

Ah — Ta Nehisi Coates. Speaking of fraudulent researchers...

Anthony Lucido's avatar

As in every other area, fraudulence pays handsomely.

This is a good illustration of why college is such a racket and ripoff in the U.S. today (and has been for decades, but has gotten worse since the adventy of Obama and non-stop racialism by the Left).

Looks like Truman Capote's favorite gender-fluid florist.

Has the highest peer rating from the Academic Gibberish Generator

Central casting.

I guess the juiceX was no longer worth the neocolonial squeeze.

Chaar-Lopez says his "academic freedom" is being abridged by not receiving tenure for his phony-baloney job. But, according to an interview with Chaar-Lopez in Inside Higher Ed, his department was being eliminated, along with other "ethnic studies" departments.

There seems to be some sense left at UT. From the same IHD article: "In an emailed statement to Inside Higher Ed, a UT spokesperson said, “Tenure is a privilege, not a right.” Indeed.

Ralph Fluchel's avatar

There may be some sense left at UT, but from what I have read there is still a lot of lunacy there.

Unwoke in Idaho's avatar

Just think. The American taxpayers are giving loans so people can take classes to be indoctrinated with this dreck.

Kenneth Foster's avatar

Reason as we know it simply doesn't exist at the universities and colleges. The serious woke students would have to depend on the institutionalization of wokism to provide employment. This is completely circular and dependent on considerable inbreeding. In this sense, it has its own logic.

Ralph Fluchel's avatar

I checked the link to the Northeastern Illinois University Gender studies faculty and I was very surprised that there were no pronouns listed. Did I miss them somehow, or has that lunacy disappeared from academia?

Lucy Hair's avatar

We can only hope.

Professor, Searching out the rot and absurdity in our so-called universities as heartily as you do would drive me to drink too. Oh, wait . . bad thought for the guy with so many accidents from driving like AHM. Have a Happy Day on me. Signed, the attorney-at-living Steve.

As the racist, white anxious country that the tenure-rejected "scholar" purports us to be, doesn't it make more sense according to his thesis that we should be welcoming the invading black and brown bodies so as to be able to enslave them, instead of building a wall to keep them out?
