One of the most wonderful things about David Horowitz was his writing style. His prose is supple, nuanced and always interesting, at least one cut above a lot of political writers.
The style reflects the man. He was just too smart and too honest to remain in the cult his parents raised him in, and which still captures too many of his (and my) contemporaries.
Thankfully, he leaves his writings behind. They assure that his memory will remain forever a blessing.
Anybody who romanticizes the Black Panthers needs to read Radical Son. Even if you disagree with Horowitz's politics, you'll never see the Panthers the same way again.
Radical Son is a powerful, compelling book that will outlive its author. In that way, David will always be with us. Immortality is the best reason to write great things, and not just current things.
For this naive subscriber to Ramparts in the 70’s it was a joy to re-discover David Horowitz after we had both fully rejected the Left. A daily dose of Front Page has greatly strengthened my optimism that sane thinking may yet prevail.
May his loved ones take comfort knowing how influential his work is to so many who continue the fight against the totalitarians.

Who is now the primary torch picker-upper?
Still Nothing in Corporate Media about David's passing. So I guess it didn't happen.
