Political liberalism and the Rights of Man arose from Judeo-Christian culture, and no other. Even deists like Hume, Smith, and Jefferson knew there was an "Author of Nature," and that our rights come from God and not Man.
King Charles is a self-absorbed non-entity. He might as well call himself the Grand Pooh-Bah. England, Britain, Great Britain and the United Kingdom are all relics of history. They together will soon be called the Caliphate of the North Atlantic. And Ireland proper will also be part of that caliphate. The Mohammedans never forget the areas they once controlled or ravaged. They raided Ireland as late as the 1600s and enslaved an entire village there. Now the West just invites them in. Islam is evil. But the West is weak. I believe in betting on the strongest horse in the race. But that might end up being China.
When a noble culture or civilization totally loses its nerve and self-respect, it goes poof. The rest is all past tense, surviving at best in our thoughts. The UK had some life not that long ago.
We should note that the foundational statement of the Constitution, "We hold these truths to be self-evident," is based on the internally contradictory and long-since torn apart doctrine of philosophy known as Intuitionism.
Not sure I follow what you mean here by "intuitionism", esp. since "self-evident truth" is explained quite otherwise in, for example, Hamilton in Federalist 31, or Question 94 of Aquinas's 'Treatise on Law,' neither of which depend on intuition at all. (See also Thomas Reid and James Wilson.)
Intuitionism was mainstream at the time of the Declaration, and still very much alive in the last century. It held that all humans were born with a moral sense. I'm a little surprised that you are unaware of it.
I so appreciate the breadth and depth of topics covered in this Substack.
Dr. Hayward’s sprinkling of humor is icing on the cake.
The story of the sinking of the Prince of Wales is hilarious and apt as he notes Trump’s lack of current depictions of British-American cooperation.

This is correct, and something West nails in his book and on our podcast here.
