Anthony is always hilarious, but I love it when he is also scenery-chewing MAD! Well done, youngster. It almost makes me want to throw out all my mayo in your honor.

Key word, "almost." As funny as Anthony may be, mayo on sandwiches forever!

Ya can't make Thousand Island Dressing without mayonnaise. And, you can't have a Big Mac w/o their secret sauce, which is actually just T.I.D. And, you can't go an entire lifetime without a Big Mac.

It just isn't possible. People who claim that they never had one are dishonest or vegans, which is worse than dishonest.

So, Anthony may "hate" mayonnaise, but did he claim that he's never consumed any? I've never heard that.

And, his nom d'plume is Anthony Hates Mayo. Perhaps, subconsciously, he despises a former dictator in China, and transposes that strong emotion onto an innocent condiment. The mind is a complex organ.

My brother Andy also hates mayo, so I must learn tolerance for those who oddly prefer dry sandwiches. It's a big tent we have here!

Please do not throw out all your mayo on Mayo's account. IF, you should irrationally act on such an inclination and later regret it, please let me know and I will happily send you our especially suthen and delicious recipe known as Dukes Mayonnaise.

AHM, that was simply magnificent! I can't tell you how glad I am that you landed here on the Political Questions site, with Steve, and (lately) Max. There's an old saying about somethings being greater than the sum of their parts.

That "sum" would be quite impressive, but his place is shaping up to be the best site on the Internet. My only criticism of PQ is that I can't get an APP 'cause I use an Apple product. But, that's not much of a complaint in light of the incredible range of expertise and opinion that Steve has cobbled together.

As for the substance of your column, you are spot on. And, your unique and compelling style really makes the case. BTW, Andy McCarthy addresses the same subject on NRO this morning. He's made it into a three-part effort. Compared to your effort, ACM's falls flat as a pancake.

On May 9th I celebrated the 50th Anniversary of licensed practice. I was an actual trial attorney for 35 of those years. By actual, I mean I argued cases in a court room mostly, and did not do depositions and settle matters, like most of the folks here in Tampa, who claim to be trial attorneys, actually did.

I've expressly admitted on Powerline, so I'll do so here: I am very fortunate that in all my trials, where I had some incredibly good opponents, that I never had to try a case against someone like you. Tampa juries would love you AHM.

Since I know you both, and have the highest respect for both of your yuge brains, I fear it would be the Cage Match of the Century should you find yourselves on opposite sides in Court. I could not place a bet. But Anthony IS younger and taller, so...maybe slight advantage, Anthony.... but, wait, what about 35 years of experience? Oh dang, it's a tie!

Susan, the problem -- as I see it -- with a cage match is that you can't run away. In my ute (youth), I was a pretty scrappy guy. You gotta be in the Army Airborne.

However, on NO occasion would I have agreed to cage match with AHM, literally or even figuratively. Anthony is really one of kind, and Steve has a fabulous eye for talent (just look at the other folks who contribute here).

I suppose blog sites, like much of humanity's products, have a shelf life. I used to love "Little Green Footballs," but it's no longer viable. Gateway Pundit had a meltdown. I don't know what happened to Hot Air.

Here's a Sunday Afternoon toast to Political Questions, in the hope that it prospers for decades! It's certainly off to a terrific start, and its potential is unlimited. NRO eat your heart out!!

Steve, if you can get Victor Davis Hansen to make an appearance, and discuss ANY topic, that would be epic.

And, about that App for Apple products.

Tony, you as always are gracious and self-deprecating, but I suspect that the prospect of a courtroom battle with you would unfold very much like Akela, the great gray wolf, addressing the turncoat members of the pack from the flat rock and asking who among them wished to take the first crack at deposing him.

Nobody's paw is going up, certainly not mine.

I'm grateful to Steve for letting me contribute to this site.

First, Anthony Hates Mayo was your nickname from a former life.

May I suggest you adopt a more fitting name like “Mayo Tony.” I once knew a guy (met him, OK I was standing and drinking a beer when he walked up to the bar) who was named ‘Price Tag Nino’. ‘Price Tag Nino’ hailed from an infamous Pittsburgh mafioso family, … and we all know Pittsburgh is famous as a center of organized crime (in their own minds) and gelato that tastes like a 7-11 Slurpy. Actually, he claimed his father was an alternate driver for the Capo who ran New Kensington, a dried up town that occasionally floods on the Allegheny River — or so he claimed. Nino was, shall we say, privileged. If you wore a nice tie, Nino would walk up, grab it so he could read the label, and say, “Nice tie, how much it cost?” If you said, “$25,” he would respond, “I can get it for a fraction of that.” And I think he could. Maybe his ‘discount’ tie might have a blood spot on it (try washing it with seltzer and salt) from a 9mm gunshot, but he might be telling the truth.

So Mayo Tony, as I was explaining to my audience, at the James Madison Muffler Shop on route 299 in Pasqcatawayonie, New Jersey, next to Feliducio’s Sandwich and Cement Shoe Store (where I will be playing for the next two weeks, and by the way, people who work cement need shoes) that I will believe in the whole “we got the SOB’s behind Russiagate” when Pam Bondi publishes the list of her hairdressers who knew Epstein or the Supreme Court finds Obamacare unconstitutional — as it will obviously do.

Hey ahhh, …, (whispering), did you hear that Bongino is on the Epstein list and he wants it published to help him get dates? Maybe it’s just a rumor, but, … (raised eyebrows).

Mr Lucido, should you leave your law practice you would do well as a writer.

Regarding the topic of bring justice to the entitled 'elites': Parallel to your article, others within MAGA have called for Fox News contributor Pam Bondi to be fired. Not from her Fox News gig, but some mistakenly believe her to be the US AG, and that she bungled the Epstein Files.

I love all the winning that the 2nd DJT administration is giving us. I believe DJT has heard our concerns regarding Epstein, but Bondi is staying. It's possible there's a deeper conspiracy, but there's also a possibility it's a nothing burger.

The truth of the Epstein Files is that I don't know. Former AG Bill Burr looked into it and declared it a suicide, as has Fox News contributor Pam Bondi. That's enough for me, but others can have their perspective.

What I do know is that the 2nd DJT administration has been the best Republican administration of my lifetime, and the most consequential. DJT has done more to dismantle the deep state than Reagan ever tried.

If even a few of the zillion traitors are legally hung out to dry, we should declare a legal holiday. If somebody really got serious, the perp walk would become our new dance craze. So far, the hallowed political custom is to let them all skate free. Mini-sanctuary cities follow them around like shadows. They have better immunity than doctors could dream of.

Expand full comment
FCinNH's avatar

The "immunity" thing is really annoying. Just because you held an important government office doesn't mean you are incapable of committing crimes. The idea that it is "unbecoming" to prosecute someone for what they did in office pales when what they did was actually criminal. And if we don't prosecute them on legitimate charges (unlike Biden's administration and his NY friends) the respect for the law and its minions will diminish quickly and we'll devolve into the worst Third World ethics.

Even worse, it's not the office it's your outlook. The Left skates, the Right is prosecuted. And since very few, Democrat or Republican, objected to the prosecution of Trump, I guess it's not so "unbecoming" any more.

As usual, Anthony's post is amusing, but the paragraph starting with "I remain vexed" is very valuable right now. Over at the site that shall not be named, they are posting that we should just "call the whole thing off" when it comes to the Russian Collusion hoax.

It seems to me that anyone confronted with the parade of skullduggery delineated here would realize that if the conspirators here are allowed to walk away scot-free - if we "just call the whole thing off" - that they will do it again, only next time they will have even less fear of accountability than they did in 2020. Next time they will do what it takes to crush us, and anyone with a passing knowledge of history knows that will be very unpleasant and violent.

Today is July 13, 2025. One year ago today presidential candidate Donald Trump survived an assassin's bullet by the Grace of God and a Powerpoint slide. I am flying my flag--our flag--today in the dream that this will someday be a national holiday--the day America was saved, along with Donald Trump.

As one may be able to tell, I have gotten quite sentimental in my bromance with the President. Although he is younger than me by a couple of years, I stand in awe of his indomitable energy, and his boundless compassion (I dare you to go to The Epoch Times, read the story about Corey Compiatore and look at the photo of the once and future president kissing the helmet of Corey's firefighting rig, and still think he is some heartless villain).

He does this again and again--read the stories from Texas about his travels there. He doesn't go for photo ops. He goes to spread love and compassion, of which it seems there is an endless supply in his heart.

May God grant us a full second term of President Trump, and a successor with even half the energy, political intuition, and compassion--but with all the political will to do the right thing for the people and the Constitution.

Lastly, just a hearty BRAVO! to Anthony Hates Mayo for a superb post; I mention if only because it is pretty much perfect. Anything else has already been said by your namesake with the bloused trousers.

On this review of sociopathy influential during the last administration Garland and Comey are fighting it out for primacy, each more devious and foxy than the other but each shamelessly demonstrating the primary characteristics of childish manipulation and anti-social behavior.

Will they be prosecuted? As sure as there is an Epstein list.

Good column, AHM. Now do a column on the Epstein List fiasco. I don't know if there was ever a list or not, but Pam Bondi isn't exactly covered in glory on this admittedly small-potatoes issue. She definitely shot herself in her foot, and she might die from the infection if she can't pull something out of the hat to straighten out this mess.

It's very odd that Ghislaine Maxwell was apparently sentenced to 20 years in prison for trafficking minors to no one and Epstein "killed himself" because he was accused of crimes for which there doesn't appear to be any evidence.

So, although it may seem to be "small potatoes", it's a clear indication of the failure of our justice system and without trustworthy courts can we be said to actually still have a country?
