The comparisons to Hitler and the references to fascism from the left have been overblown for a long time, but Trump and trumpism are an entirely different case. They are fascism and the parallels with Hitler and Mussolini are too close to be ignored. Also, what is very different this time is that major figures on the right are acknowledging that Trump is fascist, and more than a few of these were members of Trump's administration.
