"Rob Bonta, a Yale law alum, thought it was legal to tax Californians for ten years after they left the state, which they are now doing in droves."

Of course, he didn'treally think that, any more than he thinks states can enforce laws overruling federal law.

At some point, ignoring the Constitution crosses the line into criminality. The Democrats have long since become a criminal enterprise. They react the same way other criminals react to anyone who interferes with their enterprise.

The Constitution! That Old Thing! No one cares about That! I mean there was NO diversity among those who wrote it. Not One Transgender or POC, among them!

Is that book better than Miracle at Philadelphia by Catherine Bowen?

Not having read that so I can't say.

Thanks, I Check It Out.

The California "squeal line" is in the same vein as the Seditious Six ad directed at military members but it's not remotely seditious.

Members of the community have a right -- nay, a duty -- to report law enforcement officers who act wrongfully. I'd suggest they start with the AG's enforcement of a clearly unconstitutional law about how private retailers arrange products in their stores. If an ICE officer or California Highway Patrol officer uses excessive force or otherwise violates someone's rights, witnesses should report such conduct. I learned that on -- Adam-12, some few years ago.

But this, like the Seditious Six ad, is meant to get people to see violations that don't exist in order to disrupt necessary law enforcement actions. And those law enforcement actions are necessary because of people like Gov. Newsom and AG Bontas.

"Back in 2021 Newsom signed Assembly Bill 1084, which mandates that large retail department stores that sell childcare items or toys must maintain a “gender-neutral” section for these items or face fines. “By requiring large retailers to maintain a gender-neutral section,” Bonta’s office explains, “AB 1084 makes it more difficult for these retailers to engage in gender-based pricing discrimination and reduces the imposition of gender stereotypes on children.” In support of this cause, the attorney general recruits shoppers as informants."

Talk About Open Season For radical Transgender activists!

"Newsom transformed California from a destination state to a place people want to leave"

It's not that simple. I left in 2006 before Newsom took charge. I grew up in Santa Clara county, where my four grandparents spent their working lives. I grew up when Pat Brown and Ronald Reagan were governors.

I blame the change on the post-WWII immigration. Prior to that, it was difficult to even get to California. My great-great-grandma Anna Cook came out in a wagon on the Oregon/California trail in 1862. That made early Californians hardy and conservative. But huge numbers of east coast liberals went through California on their route to the Pacific Theater during WWII, and they wanted to come back and settle there after the war.

Is there any actual evidence that Rob Bonta has engaged in thinking?

Bonta is Tattoo on Newsolini's Fantasy Island (for those whose memory serves). This goose-stepping little twerp will likely be CA's next governor.

"Bonta never found any but that year announced a $5 million settlement with Quest Diagnostics..."

And who or whom ended up with that dough? It reminds me of the Obama-era "settlement" with Wells Fargo...Wells got to kick-in two hundred large to "ACORN," Barack's old outfit, and nobody cared to look and see who got that boodle. By the by, Barack is supervising the finishing touches on his Hawaii mansion. He had the old "Magnum" mansion demolished, too 1960's. At some point a man has enough seaside mansion compounds.

"Don't, stop, thinking about tomorrow." That was the Bill Clinton theme song. Neither Fleetwood or Mac had any problem with Bill using it. In fact, few of We the People had a problem with it. What do We have a problem with?

As bad as government is in Washington state, it doesn't even begin to compare to California. The diffusion effect from California moves outward in all directions, but Oregon and Washington seem to get most of it. The deserts to the east seem to purify the air a bit. Oregon, though, has no filters, and is barely better than California. Washington gets a slightly filtered version of California, the worst parts being filtered out in Oregon, and most especially in Portland, though Seattle seems to have its own brand of lunacy, magnifying whatever comes across the border from Portland and inflicting it on itself. It would appear that the best we can hope for is that the infection does not spread eastward to an extent that allows Newsom to actually be elected.
