• It is fun to watch the fuss Elon Musk is causing over in Europe. His real sin is not that he spends a lot of money on politics internationally, because George Soros almost surely has spent far more over the last 30+ years. The objection to Musk within the political class and media of Britain, Germany, and elsewhere is that he says things. Things you aren’t supposed to say (such as about Britain’s grooming gangs, which have never been a secret to anyone paying attention). Even worse, the things he says are often funny. Has George Soros ever said anything funny in his whole life? As we know, the devil doesn’t like to be laughed at.
• Today liberals everywhere were reading a paraphrase from FDR in their hymnal of leftist high holidays: “Yesterday, January 6th, a day that will live in infamy. . .” Oh, wait, it turns out nobody cares except hopped up liberals, as CNN’s Harry Entin noted:
• A commercial announcement: For interested readers in the Philadelphia area, on January 31 I will be the improbable headliner at the following event at Villanova University:

• From Lloyd:
Joe Biden can easily get lost but when it comes to handing out the Presidential Medal of Freedom to people who don’t deserve it, the Delaware Democrat found what he was looking for in Hillary Clinton, George Soros and Bono, “Frontman for legendary rock band U2, pioneering activist against AIDS and poverty.”
Bono (Paul David Hewson) recalls what SNL’s Father Guido Sarducci (Don Novello) said of Pope John Paul, that “he’s no Smokey Robinson.” Smokey, 84, didn’t get the Presidential Medal but in 2016 he won the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. At the Constitution Hall event, JoJo (Joanna Noëlle Levesque) performed Smokey’s “Who’s Loving You.” The composer and Motown mogul Barry Gordy sure liked it, so feel free to make a video of yourself responding to the performance.
The response to presidential medals for Clinton and Soros is trending negative, with Elon Musk weighing in strong against Soros, funder of pro-criminal DAs such as George Gascon. Fox News calls Biden’s performance “medal fatigue,” but it’s probably due to dementia. As Duke Ellington might say, Joe’s got it bad and that ain’t good.
• Over at the Free Press Bari Weiss interviews Bryan Johnson, the tech guru who is attempting to live forever for some reason. Here’s a description of his daily diet:
My morning breakfast is a dish called Super Veggie, and it’s broccoli, cauliflower, black lentils, ginger, garlic, and hemp seeds. The second meal is called Nutty Pudding, and it’s macadamia nuts, walnuts, flaxseed, sunflower, lecithin, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, pea protein, and some collagen. And then the final meal of the day is some combination of vegetables, legumes, berries, nuts, seeds. So I’m plant-based. I vary them day to day, but they’re roughly in the same categories. I get around 30 grams of plant fiber per day. The typical American gets less than 10. I don’t eat any sugar. I don’t eat any junk food. And then I have a lot of extra-virgin olive oil. I have three tablespoons per day of high quality, extra-virgin olive oil.
I’d rather just die like nature intended, since this is hardly living.
• Speaking of Biden, here’s a fun short sendoff video:
Are you guys abandoning Power Line for this inferior outlet? We'd have enjoyed this post on PLB, and I'll bet the there are more 'eyeballs' there than on the multitudinous 'Subs' all with hands out for subscriptions.
Love it!. Thank you, Steve and KLB.
