Podcast Time
Plus the Week in Headlines
Is it Saturday already? Yes, yes it is. And herewith the usual double-header. First, the Three Whisky Happy Hour continues shaking up our format with a special guest for the whole episode, one of the newest contributors to this site: Ken Green, who this week celebrated the demise of the "Endangerment Finding" that derives from the Statute-That-Cannot-Be-Named in John Yoo's presence. But along the way Ken raised an eyebrow about certain enthusiasms of the MAHA movement, which in turn raised the eyebrows of a certain "Lucretia"—can you believe it?—so we decided to let them have out a bit.
The result of one of our livelier episode ever, where discussion of "junk food" and other aspects of America's nutrition was conducted against the background noise of John Yoo munching on a bag of Cheetos. We also have brief considerations of the proposal for a mid-decade census, and the fuss over Gerrymandering in Texas and elsewhere.
So as usual, listen here, from Apple iTunes, Ricochet, or wherever your source your podcasts:
Next up, the Ricochet Podcast, where our guest Timothy Carney, author of Alientated America and Family Unfriendly, joined us to discuss the implications and potential consequences of the nation’s waning will to procreate. Charles, James, and I gab about the fuss over gerrymandering, appraise Trump’s warning to DC leadership, and consider the predicament before Israel as they plan to occupy Gaza City.
Once again, listen here, or at the Ricochet link above.
• And now (drum roll please), the Week in Headlines, and boy did this week have some doozies.

Regarding the Canadian Economy headlines. Five of the six articles had "Canadian Press" as the byline and three of those also listed Craig Lord as the author. Although your overall point is still valid, I don't think that was a good example of the "Hive Mind", but merely multiple outlets printing an article from the same source.
Re: 3 WHH
Enjoyed guys. As always, Lucretia's highly intelligent, rational mind, inspires. ;-) Though I must say, I do eat canned vegetables, lunch meat, Eggos etc.. And do not lose much sleep over it.
I am still recovering from an emergency appendectomy from two weeks ago, so at 78 my body endures. I think I'll take a short walk now.
Til next time,
Jim
