As usual, it’s another twin podcast Saturday morning, even though I am somewhere in the far north Atlantic Ocean, with snow coming down.
Ricochet listeners will be glad to know that Charles C.W. Cooke is recovering from a respiratory malady that had felled him for the last two weeks, and with James Lileks away in Italy, I host this week and catch up with Charles on everything from the Trump-Musk divorce to the new huge authorized (but defective) biography of William F. Buckley, Jr.
So listen right here, or download the episode from Ricochet or wherever you source your favorite weekend podcasts.
Speaking of favorite podcasts, the Three Whisky Happy Hour also managed to meet up virtually for our weekly episode, though Lucretia tried to match my northern exposure by flouncing around Alaska, and if John had done something similar this could have been the all “Northern Exposure” edition of the show. In any case, we finally have our much delayed seminar—part of John Yoo’s remedial education—on why it is an insult to call someone a “political theorist.”
You can listen here right now, or wait for the episode to go live on Ricochet, iTunes, and elsewhere. (Slight delay this week because of my time zone complications.)
Meanwhile, this week offered up a cornucopia of delicious headlines, starting with yet another piece of evidence that the legacy media grows dumber and dumber by the day:
Steven, The media are doing your work for you! Great set of examples!
Isn't a political theorist just an unemployed political consultant, possibly gigging as a lecturer at the Kennedy School or the Penn-Biden center?
I vote for the seminar to educate John Yoo. It might be nice to have a podcast that helps you escape the 24x7 insanity that is our country at the moment.
Is it "Pride Month" that seems to bring about peak crazy? What next? A legion of drag queens interfering with ICE detainments? It would be funny watching them run away from the tear gas in their heels and the streets of LA stained in mascara -- it could be re-enacted at the opening ceremonies for the 2028 Olympic Games.
